Here are some questions and answers about our Privacy Policy:
1. What information do you gather and track about me when I visit the X-markets website?
When you browse the site, we do not collect personal information (name, address, phone number) about you without your consent. The only way we will gather any kind of personal information is if you give it to us. You will only be asked to supply personal information when you are taking advantage of the site's interactive services.
2. What use do you make of cookies?
You have probably heard about the existence of cookies but are not completely sure what they do or how they work. Contrary to popular opinion, cookies aren't computer programs and have no intelligence of their own. They are small software tags that track a visit to a website, and cannot be used to obtain information from your hard disk or e-mail. They are created and stored in a very specific manner by your browser and do not provide any kind of access to any other server.
To provide a better service and more effective website, we use cookies as part of our interaction with your browser. Cookies allow us to give you the access you're entitled to and only contain information that you have already given to the website. For example, if you are a Private Investor resident in Austria and have selected German as your preferred language, cookies will let the site know that you are entitled to access information about products eligible for sale in Austria, and that you wish to view content written in German. Remember, cookies cannot be used to get personal information about you that you haven't already provided.
3. Is the information held in cookies secure?
We understand that security is important. Information held in cookies set by Deutsche Bank is kept to a minimum and can only be read by Deutsche Bank or by someone who has physical access to your personal computer. As with all security issues, Deutsche Bank strives to provide you with the highest levels of service as securely as possible.
4. What do you do with the information you collect?
We gather and analyse data regarding the use of our website, including number of hits, pages visited, length of user session, etc., to evaluate the usefulness of the site, but these are for statistical purposes only and are not shared with any other organisation outside the Deutsche Bank Group. Some of the information is aggregated into 'patterns' along these lines (the figures below are used as an example only): 1000 visitors came to the site on Thursday [date]. Of those visitors 600 visited the Pricing section.
5. Will I get unsolicited e-mail?
If you provide us with your e-mail address we are likely to want to use it to communicate with you. This may include communications about services, products and facilities offered by Deutsche Bank. Your e-mail address will not be disclosed by us to any outside party and in addition we will give you the opportunity to choose not to receive marketing communications from us by e-mail.
